  Being serious for a minute, my abilities are somewhat diverse having had a variety of employment experiences over the years. Transport, freight and logistics, engineering sales, commodities trading and most recently running my own business providing critical care for children with multiple and profound disabilities.Updating the above - for the first time in actually years -and following an 18 month struggle of biblical proportions with a London Borough, we have finally achieved CQC (Care Quality Commission) registration and approval to operate as a single occupancy small care home, specialising in the delivery of high-level care to an adult with complex and profound disabilities.This legitimises, validates and recognises the broad spectrum of skills and attributes Sue and I have acquired and developed over the 20 years we have been fostering children with complex and profound needs.In amongst all that I write for the Haynes Group and have been involved with and responsible for the creation of a series of books on the subject of Adventure Motorcycling, the most recent of which is Adventure Motorcycle Maintenance which was published in October 2012.Recreation generally involves two wheels driven by one motor, my garage populated by a variety of motorcycles ranging from my old 1971 Suzuki T125 Stinger, KTM 400 LC4 'Desert Special', a classic Suzuki RG500 race replica, and a couple of old Yamaha 350s, one LC and an older YR5. The road bike is a heavily modified Aprilia Falco (with an RSV-R race motor) and four wheeled fun is delivered in the form of a rolling restoration of a 1989 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet.
