A Gladstone resident for 40 years, Greg Baldock was very well respected in the town for his community work and for being a darn good guy. For fourteen years, Greg conducted White Lightning Entertainment, a disco and karaoke business. Being very generous with his time and talent, he could often be found entertaining in the aged care homes and organising events for his swimming club.Greg joined the Gladstone Country Music Group in November 2008 and soon became a popular entertainer in the Queensland country music arena.Entering his first Country Music Talent Festival in February 2009, Greg enjoyed some success. Since that time, he has performed at numerous country music festivals and the Gympie Muster. His major successes include -2 x Sarina Country Music Festival Senior Overall Champion 2 x Rockhampton Country Music Festival Senior Overall Champion2015 Bundaberg Country Music Festival Senior Overall Champion2010 Queensland Champion of Champions Masters 50-65 Winner and second in Senior Overall DuoCCMA Finalist Golden Oldies, Tamworth 2017Performed each night on the Riverside Campground Stage, Tamworth Country Music Festival 2016 and 2017.Greg has released two cd’s, “Family, Bush & Traditional”, and “Greg Baldock Sings Marty Robbins Rarities”.After retiring to Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast, Greg joined the local Maroochy River Country Music Club (President 2016-2018) and currently holds the position of Junior Vice President.Greg performs regularly at functions, Country Music Clubs and aged care homes.
