BHP Steel established a terminal in Villawood in 1996 with the primary focus on the receipt, storage and consolidation of export steel. The facility was an extension to their Port Kembla and Newcastle steel Mills already providing that service. To centrally manage the supply chain, from manufacture to export within a given time frame. Supervise terminal operations, maintain inventory integrity, develop and maintain suppliers and employee relationships.Selected Achievements: Consolidated & dispatched 746 units for the Trans tasman trade in a 8 day period  Consolidated over 7624 containers in one financial year with full product integrity and 100% scheduled vessel dispatch. Developed and distributed a rail forecast for both Port and Interstate Rail operators. Maintained an operational interface for both Port and Interstate Rail operators. Full accountability for all financial costs associated with export operations. Demonstrated a high level of commitment to OH & S Standards.
