Responsible for managing and trading assets across IndexIQ’s multiple exchange traded funds, mutual fund and separately managed accounts. Responsible for trading equities across Europe for a long/short international equity Hedge Fund ($1.5B peak AUM) in addition performed the following duties: Implemented DMA/Algorithmic trading systems in order to reduce transaction cost and access dark pools, reducing slippage. Reduced market impact on highly illiquid European equities through block trading, dark pools, and algorithmic trading. Executed monthly basket trades based on fund flows and exposure across multiple portfolios and currency base.Calculated and executed FX Spot and Forward trades based on daily transactions and to hedge the currency exposure of fund.Interacted with local brokers in foreign markets in order to source liquidity and gain insight. Discussed trading ideas, fund exposure, market risks and market moving headlines with portfolio managers.Supervised “Best Execution” monthly meetings to review commissions paid and soft-dollar budget with portfolio managers, CFO and trading desk.Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of EzeCastle OMS and worked with EzeCastle to create custom reports for fund managers.Trained and managed trading desk and operations employees.Setup multiple “FIX” connections between brokers and OMS to reduce trade errors on desk.

Implemented and maintained EzeCastle OMS, including educating and training all employees in multiple branches.Confirmed and settled trades.Communicated with multiple prime brokers concerning all trade settlements and corporate actions.Performed position, market value, cash, and currency hedge reconciliations for all portfolios across multiple prime brokers.Executed FX spot/forward trades and currency hedges.Responsible for proxy votes and corporate action elections based on fund guidelines and portfolio manager's preference.Trained and managed operations employees.
