Scope of responsibility to included management of Inventory Distribution, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Medical Capital planning, Value Analysis and Sterile Processing. Played a key role in developing a new supply and equipment distribution model to reduce nursing search and travel time for supplies by 50% in the ICU and Cancer units at Seattle Children’s. Collaborated with the Chief Medical Officers and the Chiefs of Surgery and operations leaders in the pursuit of quality patient care and efficient operations. Led the organization incident Logistics Commander role during the 3 Code Yellow crises including shutting down all operating rooms facility renovation, COVID-19 crisis, and mental health patient surge in the Emergency Department.Developed a Quality Management System to support ISO9001 standards of quality. Worked with the clinical teams to implement a 2-bin supply system to support improved supply availability and growth across the organization. The system supported 105 supply areas in the Operating Rooms, Radiology, ICU’s, Medical and Surgical Units as well as Pharmacy. Environmental Services and Lab. The 2-bin system eliminated the need for Omnicell Cabinets and Service Agreements at the cost of $6M and reduced nursing and supply chain time by over 40,000 hours annually.
