I handle a broad range of civil litigation disputes, including claims involving construction, real estate, insurance, and contract disputes. I serve as a co-chair of my law firm's Construction Practice Group and editor of our Construction Industry Counselor blog. (https://www.saul.com/blogs/construction-industry-counselor) I also frequently speak on construction topics for construction trade groups. As a construction attorney, I help owners and contractors negotiate construction contracts, including AIA forms. I also work to resolve issues before they become larger problems on construction projects as well as disputes as they arise.Beyond the courtroom and construction sites, I represent clients in front of local zoning and planning boards to assist with obtaining special permits and resolve issues with towns and cities. This experience includes work with an owner of cell towers to ensure compliance with local laws. For ten years, I annually lead a class for Discovering Justice’s "Stand Up For Your Rights," a program that involves teaching a 10-week course about the First and Fourth Amendments to Boston-area middle school students.
