Managed a successful department through several growth and development stages in Commodities Inspection and testing. Directly led the Coordination team, responsible for managing Inspection activities in UAE, Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan and Iran in all aspects of O&P inspection. Also controlled high-level blending and analysis jobs for key clients, specifically in Gasoline (and associated products) and Gasoil activities.Effectively combined several departments (Coordination team, Administration team, Inspection Field staff, PSI department, Laboratory and driving staff) to work alongside one another and achieve a common goal, budgetary targets and process optimisation.Headed a new start-up O&P laboratory through expansion phases, until proficient in Full-spec Gasoline, Gasoil and Fuel Oil testing as well as Basic Crude, Naphtha and Jet analysis. Managed all reporting staff and developed process improvement procedures for Sample management and Handling. Fully directed a LIMS implementation project from design scope to go-live stages. Implemented Lean Management principles to revolutionise the Coordination and Inspection team systems from Job Nomination to Report and Invoice delivery. This drastically reduced our TAT to clients and resulted in the department being able to handle almost double the amount of jobs with the same headcount. Assisted in rolling-out the same Lean Management structure to other regional offices.Responsible for higher-level management aspects such as regular Client visits and Client development as well as complaint management and reconciliation. Also undertaking all regular reporting line manager duties.Member of the Regional management team responsible for upward reporting of Financial and Business Development reports, along with Regional Team planning for Growth strategy and expansion in line with budget proposals.
