I have over 40 years’ experience working with and on computers, including graphics and web design as well as office applications, hardware, and networking. My computer career led to over 14 years in real estate, where I primarily handled all our in-house IT, marketing materials, authoring of online and printed content, photography, web design, and graphics creation. I have a keen eye for proofreading, with superb spelling and grammar. I'm very precise and detail oriented, and not prone to making mistakes of my own. I am also a published photographer, with my work appearing in newspapers, magazines, and books, as well as public aquariums and the American Museum of Natural History in New York.While my computer and real estate careers allowed me to expand and apply my computer, writing, and graphic skills, I have also since the 1990s designed, prototyped, and sourced several CNC-machined original inventions, ranging from complex accessories for underwater cameras to an aftermarket sight for a pistol. All of them were commercially successful, received great reviews, and were sold and shipped around the globe. Taking these items from concept to finished product involved my composing detailed requests for proposals for a wide variety of components and services, then choosing suppliers and fabricators, prototyping, testing, and creating the instruction sets and labeling. I sold these online via the websites I created, and did all the marketing for them, including press releases, posts in appropriate forums, etc. All of these items were original designs of my own. I composed the documentation for all of them from scratch, including all text and photography.Software comes very easily to me, and I am quick to pick up new applications. Learning any new software or in-house systems will not be a problem.As for security, I have always been entrusted with highly confidential information when dealing with real estate and computer clients, so I am accustomed to maintaining strict confidentiality. I’ve also passed multiple background checks over the years.
