Greg Calder trained in law and accounting and was originally admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.After practising for several years in Lincolns Inn and in the City of London, Greg returned to Kenya where he worked for a leading law firm practicing in the field of international loans and securities while acting for a number of international agencies and multinational corporations.Greg came to Australia in 1983 and worked with a medium sized law firm in Perth until 1986 when he joined Butcher Paull & Calder as a partner. Greg then developed the Business Law Department which now represents about one half of the firm.Greg works in the field of business structures which includes estate planning, trusts, commercial property, company law, taxation, securities, superannuation, mergers and acquisitions and transfer duty.Over a period of 30 years, Greg has been a much sought after speaker on the law relating to trusts, tax, succession, leasing, business structures and superannuation and has presented a number of technical papers at seminars organised by the Taxation Institute of Australia, the Society of Certified Practising Accountants, the National Society of Accountants and Real Estate Institute of Western Australia.Greg is a Chartered Tax Adviser.
