Infrastructure SME for Internal and vendor hosted IT projects and solutions such as SaveONenergy.ca website, FIT and microFIT, Exchange 2010, Sharepoint 2010 and Windows 7. Plan and act as project team lead on many OPA infrastructure projects such as Storage Area network implementation and upgrades, data centre upgrades, VMWare implementation, Cisco core switch upgrade and Blade server roll out. Liaise with and manage infrastructure hosting vendors ensuring SLA compliance and timely delivery of solutons. Apply industry best practice (ITIL) for event/incident and problem resolution and change management. Integral member of OPA's change advisory board. Manage License and software maintenance renewals and purchases. Procure all server and network infrastructure through competitive vendor selection process. Participate and contribute in RFP's for vendor selection. Create and maintain network documentation. Responsible for maintaining 99.9% system up time and ensuring secure reliable information systems. Ensure high availability for mission critical applications through MS clustering and VMWare HA technologies. Deploy, administer and manage OPA's blade and rack mount server infrastructure. Function as Sharepoint 2010 Farm admin, Exchange 2010 and Enterprise Vault administrator. Manage VMWare VShere 4.1 infrastructure running V-Centre 4.1, 8 ESXi 4.1 hosts and over 70 virtual servers. HP EVA and MSA SAN administrator, managing over 55 TB of fibre channel connected storage. Responsible for maintaining network and systems security and secure remote access through Symantec, Sonicwall and Aventail products. Act as Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 deployment administrator for internal CRM solutions. Perform SQL 2005/2008 dba functions. Monitor network performance and system events through Solar Winds APM and NPM ,systems management through SCCM 2007. Server 2008R2 AD and group policy administrator. Backup/restore through Netbackup 7.0 and cloud based Asigra technologies.
