Job duties include: participation in every aspect of the project lifecycle from scoping through implementation to ensure a quality product; leading solution design and build activities by designing, prototyping and delivering solutions; mentoring other developers and performing code reviews; acting as a liaison to Enterprise and Application Architecture groups; working with Business Analysts and User Experience to ensure that requirements are represented thoroughly in the front and back end of the solution. Highlights Technical Lead and Lead Developer on a multi-application overhaul targeted at improving performance and implementing a full User Interface redesign. Included designing and documenting improved server side solutions, coding foundational components and examples, mentoring less experienced developers, leading the build process, performing code reviews, and driving best practices. Worked with a team of in-house and vendor developers to create an Evidence of Insurability and Enrollment application. I was responsible for managing the transaction within the services, to process the application in real-time, handle errors appropriately, and respond to the client application. Lead Developer on an externally-facing J2EE application allowing web access to legacy system information. Worked closely with business customers, Application Architecture, and User Experience to give authenticated users direct access to claims status and payment information, the ability to submit new claims online, and to create a customize coverage profile via an online calculator.
