My work duties at the City of Loveland include: analysis of water rights issues, evaluation of water supply, review of water quality impacts and source water protection. I track legislative issues and make frequent presentations to the Loveland Utilities Commission, Loveland City Council and other civic groups. I interact with the local irrigation companies which control the surface water amenities within the City of Loveland, including Lake Loveland. I also serve on 3 water-related, non-profit organizations' boards of directors: Big Thompson Watershed Forum, Inc., South Platte Water Related Activities, Inc. and Thompson Water Users Association. My current focus is improving the development review process with an emphasis in water rights requirements, often the single largest cost to development.
