Team Leader Final Assembly
CurrentEngine Line Team Leader. Responsibities include safety of each of twelve work stations. Ensure team members have proper protective wear and all tooling and all aspects of work areas are in safe working order. Ensure team members are following OIS production standards. Answer Andon lights as needed. Make any needed repairs before Engine leaves the area. Address quality issues such as parts not fitting correctly or damaged incoming parts. Work with incoming quality team and suppliers to address repeating quality concerns. Work with PVT department for part level changes or other engineering changes. Build replacement engines for any defective incoming engines from suppliers. Order supplies within a budget to ensure all operations run properly. Manage scrap by creating scrap reports in a timely fashion in order to replenish daily quantity inventory. Keep an updated versatility matrix of trained employees to cover absent and vacationing employees. Work with Process Coach and management to develop DMAICS in order to continuously improve costs and processes. Recognized for cost savings for fastener where two different fasteners were used for the same part. Recognized for assisting in reducing Alternator scrap and waste. Recognized for perfect attendance from 2018 through 2023. Recognized for assisting in improving on design of a protective oil filter cover used within the production system. Recognized for improving MP&L delivery racks to hold more fuel lines per rack.
