Engine Line Team Leader. Responsibities include safety of each of twelve work stations. Ensure team members have proper protective wear and all tooling and all aspects of work areas are in safe working order. Ensure team members are following OIS production standards. Answer Andon lights as needed. Make any needed repairs before Engine leaves the area. Address quality issues such as parts not fitting correctly or damaged incoming parts. Work with incoming quality team and suppliers to address repeating quality concerns. Work with PVT department for part level changes or other engineering changes. Build replacement engines for any defective incoming engines from suppliers. Order supplies within a budget to ensure all operations run properly. Manage scrap by creating scrap reports in a timely fashion in order to replenish daily quantity inventory. Keep an updated versatility matrix of trained employees to cover absent and vacationing employees. Work with Process Coach and management to develop DMAICS in order to continuously improve costs and processes. Recognized for cost savings for fastener where two different fasteners were used for the same part. Recognized for assisting in reducing Alternator scrap and waste. Recognized for perfect attendance from 2018 through 2023. Recognized for assisting in improving on design of a protective oil filter cover used within the production system. Recognized for improving MP&L delivery racks to hold more fuel lines per rack.

Ohio Assembly Plant

Door, hood, and fender fitter in Pre Delivery. Assigned to verify door, hood, and fender fits and efforts were within Ford specifications using calibrated gauges and tools to make the adjustments if needed. This job was the final adjusting point on the Pre Delivery CAL line. In the Fall of 2014 I was assigned to the Ford Rouge Complex for two weeks to work on a door fit campaign for the all new aluminim body F Series trucks.

Ford Ohio Assembly Plant

Assigned to body construction high line area from 2007 to 2014. My primary job was covering absenteeism, medical leave, and vacations for all of the employees in all classifications in the area from team leader to assembler/labor pool. I was also responsible for knowing jobs within and outside my primary assigned area to cover repair campaigns, weld pickups, tag relief, and any other tasks required to meet the body department daily SQCDM goals (safety, quality, cost, delivery, moral). When OHAP balanced out to one shift in 2014 I was assigned to the metal line as general utilty and primarily worked in pre delivery as a door, hood, and fender fitter from 2014 to 2016.

Ford Wixom Assembly Plant

I primarily worked in the body shop automation areas for manual spot welding, sub assembly. I was also classified as a brazer and metal finisher working in both the body shop metal line area and paint department. As our plant balanced out various car lines after 2002, I was assigned to the chassis department and finally paint before transferring to the Ford Ohio Assembly Plant.

I worked as a temporary part time assembly line worker. I was assigned to the paint shop prime scuff booth. I learned sanding, inspection, minor repairs. I worked only Mondays and Fridays per the local UAW Ford agreement. During this time I also attended Eastern Michigan University and worked part time as a grocery clerk for Kroger once my summer internship was finished.

Earned college credit through an Internship program at Eastern Michigan University. I worked as an hourly Managment Trainee learning all aspects of each department within the store and at the regional Michigan main offices. After each phase of training I was required to pass a skills and knowledge audit.

I worked as a management intern and earned college credit through Eastern Michigan University. I worked full time in one store where I was placed in the Meat and Seafood department. I learned ordering product, scheduling employees, cleaning and sanitation procedures, the different retail cuts of meat and how to merchandise to maximize profit. On the Seafood side I learned how to set up and close the fresh counter each day, order product, merchandise sale items.
