Enterprise Firewall Security Analyst
CurrentPerform configuration changes, security policy add/removes, NAT policy changes, troubleshooting, and remediation of approximately 236 Palo Alto and 80 Cisco ASA firewalls that are part of network protection suites located across a large geographically distributed network supporting military health facilities globally. Responsible for continuous and ongoing support of the DHA Military Health facilities and clinics for problems encountered with the Network Protection Suite.Work to quickly resolve operational issues in a complex, large scale, geographically distributed, critical network security environment.Experience using network management tools such as Splunk, MobaX, HPNA, and Wireshark to resolve connection issues.Drive incident and problem resolution by leveraging strengths of other support groups as needed to identify actions which will lead to resolution of operational issues.Migrate Defense Health Agency Programs of Record and other essential programs, end users, medical modalities, and facilities to the DHA Palo Alto firewall within the Network Protection Suite leveraging the remote telework VPN and after-hours support. Ensure connectivity and reliability of the network by maintaining the Layer 2 and Layer 3 switched infrastructure according to continuous evolving requirements; creating and editing IP access-lists, port security, VLAN assignments, IP routes additions, trunk and port-channel configuration etc. Provide continuous technical support for end users, system admins, network admins, vendors, project coordinators to recommend and implement approved course of action relating to the network infrastructure configuration, connectivity, and security posture.
