Event Manager
Current• Manage and coordinate payroll for 100+ employees• Coordinate banquets ranging from meetings of 10 attendees to awards banquets up to 150 attendees. Contract and settle payments from all banquet clients.• Coordinate events held in the arena including but not limited to hockey games, concerts, comedy shows, and thrill shows• Pre-Event duties include, but not limited to constant interaction with the promoters or clients, scheduling and managing a staff of up to 60 employees per event. Hiring, interviewing, training and handling orientation for new employees. Coordinating between all departments regarding the facility’s change over between events, as well as load in and load out schedules of event production equipment• During events the events I am responsible for briefing and managing up to 60 employees per event, including all parking, security, ticket takers, ushers and merchandise staff.• Post-Event duties include ensuring that all patrons safely leave the building, managing load out operations of event production equipment. Completing the financial settlement of all merchandise products with the promoter. Handling difficult client and patron situations while working in a fast paced environment.
