 Monitor plant inventory levels and communicate information to supply chain, accounting/finance and plant management. Supervise shipping and receiving personnel and proactively audit department to assure quality and accuracy. Training, monitoring, and evaluating personnel. Daily cycle counts and an annual physical inventory with an accuracy of 99.91% in 2012 and 99.47% in 2011. Generate variance report and conduct variance investigation to determine the root cause. Troubleshoot all variances including BOM, transactions, quality, serial number variances for assembly, etc. Work with department managers, and system historical analysis to determine variance issues and recommend steps for future avoidance. Work with various departments to ensure that the appropriate operational policies and procedures surrounding inventory are in place and operating effectively. Participate with vendors in “Voice of the Customer” teams to eliminate and prevent future quality concerns. Provide leadership on creation of supermarket and point of use delivery methods for assembly, weld and IP. Achieved 40% reduction in picking parts board. Facilitate accurate parts delivery to welding department. Work closely with production leads and manufacturing manager to develop and implement continuous improvement toward warehouse storage solutions. Ensure the appropriate use of safety devices and equipment and maintain a constant vigilance for hazardous conditions and practices.Key Accomplishments: Reconfigured shipping and receiving using lean manufacturing techniques to streamline processes, eliminated wasted movement and allowed two people to do the work and labor of four. Led a 100% closure rate on Safety Cards, zero lost time due to accidents for a 5 year period.
