Works side by side with military counterparts as the Tier I Lead Engineer & SATCOM Subject Matter Expert in support of Deployable Joint Command & Control (DJC2) and Joint and Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2).• Operates and maintain 2 Multi-Band very small aperture terminals (VSAT) Consisting of the 2.4 meter and the 1.2-meter terminals. Perform the setup and troubleshooting of individual satellite links in support of the DJC2 military element, and JEXC2 for both training exercises and real-world missions. Provide users with voice and data services to include but not limited to telephone, secure internet, and video teleconference.• Utilize Wide-band Global SATCOM system (WGS) with transponder-like down-links across the Ka-band and X-band frequencies utilizing both time-division multiple access (TDMA) and frequency division multiple access (FDMA).• Deploy and operate the Global Broadcast System (GBS) in order to provide high capacity, one-way transmission of operational military data. Provide battle-space weather information, increasing the joint operations mission data available to deployed and garrisoned military forces.• Trained military personnel on the configuration, installation and troubleshooting of the GBS system, and the Hawkeye VSAT’s with both the iDirect modem, the Enhanced Bandwidth Efficient Modem (EBEM), and the Assured Secure Communications Modems (AC2).
