Current• Assists DHS Components in developing and updating Component's Occupant Emergency Plans (OEP), Shelter-in-Place (SIP), and Evacuation Plans.• Develops exercise plans, after action reports, and improvement plans for DHS HQ exercises that comply with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).• Implement policies, plans, and procedures associated with the DHS Emergency Preparedness (EP) Program.• Serve on intra-and inter-agency EP related work groups and… Show more • Assists DHS Components in developing and updating Component's Occupant Emergency Plans (OEP), Shelter-in-Place (SIP), and Evacuation Plans.• Develops exercise plans, after action reports, and improvement plans for DHS HQ exercises that comply with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).• Implement policies, plans, and procedures associated with the DHS Emergency Preparedness (EP) Program.• Serve on intra-and inter-agency EP related work groups and committees.• Analyze and resolve complex problems and issues caused by conflicts between operational requirements of the DHS OEP, SIP, and Evacuation Plans and competing logistical resource requirements.• Provide advice and assistance regarding improvement of operational activities and emergency operating capability of DHS HQ emergency and COOP Coordinators; in addition to their appropriate personnel involved in the implementation of EP.• Establish and maintain contact with counterparts at the Federal, state, local levels.• Lead, coordinate, and participate in OEP, SIP, and Evacuation training. • Coordinates the annual DHS Employee Preparedness Fair that educates DHS Employees on available emergency preparedness resources in the National Capital Region.
