Deliver an ETL solution for producing AASB17 accounting standard model point files.• Developed ETL processes for six insurance books, transforming data in the BIRDI data warehouse to the model point file format, meeting all deadlines.• Introduced and implemented unit testing for complex calculation for Reinsurance Proportion and Reinsurance Factor as well as other key risk areas.• Developed system testing for the net reinsurance premium report, validating over 20 fields against a known gold dataset. This proactive measure enhanced quality and saved finance time on reconciliation.• Performed data issue resolution working closely with Finance to explain and resolve data issues. • Conducted data quality checks using a Data Quality Tool, escalating issues to actuaries. Deadlines were very tight requiring strong commitment to deliver changes working with the PAS provider to resolve errors.• Introduced SSRS for self-service reporting delivering the following reports Net Reinsurance, Hannover Inforce, Completed / Non completed GISC, Stamp Duty, Commissions report and more.• Delivered the Net Reinsurance report for reinsurance reporting to the reinsurer. This process involved a lot of iterations, working closely with the PAS provider and finance. Is a giant step forward for Finance saving them many hours of reconciliation and fixing incorrect information.• Introduced SSIS for data ingestion developing packages improving efficiency, flexibility and accuracy into the data warehouse.
