Mr. Hendricks provides TBFM Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support the planning, implementation, and establishment of AJV-85, TBFM and Future Procedures Group. The group has been assigned with correcting shortfalls in the areas of Training, Communications, System Management, Software Adaptations, Metrics and Human Resource Management to facilitate the standardization for the use of TBFM. He is responsible for writing new procedures for the current TBFM systems as well as all future TBFM and NextGen equipment. Mr. Hendricks provides SME support for the development of TBFM procedures as they pertain to the use of Performance Based Navigation (PBN) and Optimized Profile Descents (OPD) as TBFM is being integrated into the Metroplex deployment process. Additionally he provides SME support for Ground Based Interval Management - Speed (GIM-S) as it is being currently deployed in the NAS.

Ztl - Atlanta Center Enroute Facility

• Maintained TBFM/TMA systems for the Atlanta and Charlotte airports • Maintained EDC (En route Departure Capability) for ZTL• Designed and developed new nominal routes for Atlanta and Charlotte• Designed and developed new Freeze horizons and outer meter arcs for the Atlanta system• Designed and developed new meter fix arcs for EDC• Configured the Charlotte TMA system with adjustments for the IVANE Arrival

Provided Subject Matter Expertise for the Future Concepts Team/CDM.

• Designed TMA configurations to optimize 6 OPDs into the Atlanta Metroplex and 7 OPDs into the Charlotte Metroplex• Successfully modeled all 6 OPDs into the Atlanta Metroplex with over 90% of Aircraft remaining on the OPD from TOD to threshold without loss to throughput.• Developed training and implementation plan for TBFM to the Atlanta and Charlotte Metroplex Team Leads.

• Traffic Management Coordinator (TMC) in an ATC Level 12 en route facility and is responsible for ensuring that efficient and effective traffic management is maintained. • Ensures that traffic management instructions/restrictions are initiated in accordance with established procedures to maintain a safe and expeditious flow of traffic and minimize the impact of heavy flight demands. • Assesses the facility's capacity and projects an acceptable level of traffic. Issues appropriate traffic flow restrictions to adjacent facilities, to space, hold, and reroute aircraft to distribute the flow of traffic and equalize workload among positions. • Maintains awareness of the traffic flow, equipment status, airport/weather conditions, and traffic forecasts to ensure acceptable levels of traffic, mitigate delays, and avoid flights into undesirable atmospheric conditions. • Maintains familiarization of all phases of facility operations and aeronautical/meteorological conditions. Maintains currency on required positions of operation.

Atlanta Center Enroute Facility

• Provided first line supervision to a team of developmental and certified professional controllers. Supervised a staff of air traffic control specialists who are responsible for carrying out air traffic control assignments within Area 6. • Planed and assigned work to be accomplished by subordinate employees. Set work priorities and schedules. • Approved leave, gave advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. • Evaluated performance of employees and recommended performance ratings.• Communicated and reinforced diversity and EEO policies and programs in all areas of responsibilities, including selection, training, and transfers.

Atlanta Enroute

• Served as a Training Support specialist in an en route facility responsible for developing and formulating technical training programs, methods and plans. Administered class room as well as lab instruction at all training levels.• Served as Stage 3 & 4 Class lead, responsible for position assignments of both instructors and students. Performed on the Job training in the lab environment. Responsible for performing graded evaluations for both stage 3 and 4 classes.• Training lead for VSCS training and implementation for Atlanta En Route Facility. Condensed the training from 5 to 3 days saving time and money for the FAA.

Atlanta Center Area 3

• Certified Professional Controller (CPC) in an ATC 12 en route level facility. Responsible for the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic. • Duties involved the sequencing, spacing, and issuance of clearances and instruction to aircraft operating in the center's north east arrival area of responsibility. Applied appropriate separation standards and recognized adverse situations and took corrective actions.• Cooperative and professional with system users and operators (e.g., other positions, sectors, facilities, etc.). • Used prescribed phraseology. Provided radar navigation to avoid traffic, prohibited and restricted areas, airspace temporarily released to the military for military activities. Provided information concerning weather disturbances and suggested headings for avoiding such areas.

NATCA Unit Rep for over 13 years, negotiated everything from Annual Leave, Watch Schedules to TMU unit configurations.

• Certified professional controller (CPC) in a level 09 Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) facility, responsible for the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic.• Provided radar control to aircraft arriving or departing the primary airport and adjacent airports, • Operated radar and communication equipment to apply radar separation standards and vectoring procedures. Issued speed, altitude, and directional instructions to pilots to keep aircraft properly separated. Provided air traffic advisory services to pilots including clearances to operate aircraft, weather and field conditions, and safety and traffic alerts. • Provided training to developmental air traffic controllers and other employees in the facility.
