FHLC also operates a behavioral health recovery center that provides comprehensive behavioral health care services and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for people with Substance Abuse Disease (SUD).My primary goal was to “Help to get the right people, to the right services, at the right time to save lives” by understanding the underlying social, economic, and political realities of the opioid epidemic and developing public health initiatives to make a meaningful impact.My responsibilities included:• Participating and contributing to policy reviews and new policy development to meet the requirement of relevant state regulations, clinical staff, and client needs.• Collaborating with community stake holders to develop a Comprehensive Community Plan CCP) help ensure that people with disorder (SUD), and their informal support networks receive necessary support until treatment resources become available.• Developing a four-tier structured database of community assets and supports.• Designing and developing data bases to track formal and informal supports, linkages between support at the inter at intra level tiers to leverage and uniform the capacity of these groups to collect assets, perform data mapping and analysis to improve the social safety net for people with SUD and those who support them.• Designing visual representations of community assets, map out existing linkages and via outreach and multimedia presentations and maps to identify areas that require forging new linkages.• Compiling mortality, morbidity data to understand the dynamics of SUD.
