Responsible for all aspects of managing statewide program charged with the protection of Oregon's working farm and forest lands. Duties include hiring, overseeing, and mentoring a diverse team, including both staff and contractor outreach/organizer specialists, attorneys, and policy experts located throughout Oregon; analyzing, developing, and protecting public policy initiatives; collaborating with Operations, Development, Communications, and other Program directors to ensure success of the team.

Created statewide program focused on building coalitions with new partners and supporting and growing new initiatives; co-founded and served in leadership roles in the Rogue Valley Food System Network and the Oregon Community Food Systems Network, where I co-lead several strategic planning processes; worked with local partners to create educational curriculum for Land Use Leadership Initiative (LULI), modify it for online deliver in response to the COVID pandemic, and deliver to six cohorts, 2018 - 2023.

Took a collaborative approach to building and maintaining relationships with diverse community members, local government officials and political leaders to resolve often contentious issues related to housing, transportation, and resource land protection; served on a number of local government advisory committees; writer, editor and designer of Landmark quarterly journal, 2007-2012; managed all aspects of operation of a remote office.

Responsible for all aspects of producing annual trade show for a 501.c.6 nonprofit trade organization. Duties include locating suitable facilities; contract negotiations and management; exhibit floor layout and event space design; serving as main contact with facility and decorator; on-site event management; staff recruitment, scheduling, training, oversight and retention; and post-show evaluation.

Responsible for recruiting, scheduling, training, overseeing and retaining a reliable stable of 25-30 volunteers to help produce and run an annual three-day trade show (twice-annual from 1994 - 2007) in the publishing industry.

Volunteer staff at trade shows. Duties included handling drayage, author escort, and eventually running the registration desk.

Founder and principal consultant in firm specializing in state and federal regulatory matters involving energy facilities and conservation and efficiency programs. Responsible for all aspects of business operation, including marketing and client relationships. Worked with clients in California, Alaska, U.S. Virgin Islands, Austria, and other locations.

Held numerous jobs while earning my Master's Degree, including Teaching Assistant in the Planning, Public Policy and Management (PPPM) program, Air Pollution Technician for the Lane Regional Air Pollution Authority (LRAPA), and Associate with Economic Research Associates.
