I helped develop and scale new joint ventures as well as build out the internal analytics, data and data science practice.-Consulting on Ventures: -Build: rewrote credit policy for a fintech startup. Built roadmap for getting to a v0 NPV model, building out vertical and horizontal P&Ls, improving the credit decision making process, setting the framework for pricing (APRs, loan amounts and terms), and improving the fraud process. -Find: worked to find frictions and pain points and then solutions with unfair competitive advantages. Consulted on venture pitches and due diligence.-AI: -Explored the frontier of current AI and imaged the future of where we might take it. -Ran experiments on various Large Language Models (LLMs) on a variety of different business tasks (think ChatGPT 4, Claude 2, Llama 2, MISTRAL 7B). -Tested different prompt engineering strategies: persona/framework/specifications, Chain of Thought, and Step Back Prompting. -Used BERTopic, nltk VADER sentiment analysis and Knowledge Graph tools to analyze corporate text data.-Firm Building -Built the roadmap, vision, and minimum viable product (MVP) for the AI/ML Engine. -Worked with Managing Directors, Industry Heads, CPO and President to determine Data Science, Data and Analytics needs for venture pipeline and built a staffing plan, job descriptions and interview process. -Built a proof of concept for securely analyzing corporate data leveraging AI. Covered data preprocessing and transformations, mapping variables, running analyses, and extracting insights in a largely autonomous fashion.

-Built an affiliate partnership business from the ground up (0 to 1), generating over 100,000 loans and driving $100,000,000+ in annual disbursements. -Drove the underwriting, analytics, marketing messaging, process for driving positive reviews, commissioning of custom risk models and customizing of the valuation model for the channels.-Built a novel solution to leverage alternative data for prequalifying prospects (in particular, deep subprime) in a cost-effective manner. Diagramed and designed with input from Legal and Compliance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Worked hand-in-glove with Product team to implement. Rebuilt entire risk engine on new platform and worked with Risk Engineering team and Pricing team to mirror on backend. -Led the team that developed the valuation models and credit policy for a new Embedded Finance product (similar to Buy Now, Pay Later and Point of Sale financing).-Owned expanding Credit Card growth to Credit Karma (Invite to Apply and Lightbox).-Go-to-team for new initiatives: Primary driver of market expansion, going from 12 states to 40+ states. Led the way on testing into Prime lending.-Led the charge on automation: from enhancing dashboards for production, risk performance & bleeding-edge risk indicators to automating non-production risk scores.
