In 2015 my daughter Evie was born with multiple serious medical problems.She was with us for 6 months and died on September 27th 2015. We immediately decided that Evie's impact on the world had to be a positive one, and Team Evie was born! After 2 years of juggling being a teacher with running the charity I left teaching and took on the role of CEO to lead the charity and help as many sick children and their families as we could...Our work with Team Evie:Through our close links with the medical team we support, we have helped and supported thousands of families over the last 7 years. We fund medical equipment and provide training that is saving children's lives; We make time in hospital easier for sick children and reduce anxiety for families; we are there for bereaved parents in their time of need.My job is to:- Develop the services that we offer to families, working closely with service users and medical professionals to ensure we are having the maximum impact possible for sick children and their families.- Organise, advertise and run our fundraising events throughout the year- Drive our social media presence and engage our community to support the work we do and grow our supporter base- Engage with businesses to offer services which benefit staff, as well as develop relationships and support for our events and fundraisers.To find out more connect and I would love to speak to you about Evie, our mission and our work!
