Sr. Project Manager
CurrentGreg is a Senior Project Manager within HMM’s Transportation Planning Practice, based in Burlington, Ontario. He has over 26 years of traffic engineering and road safety experience in both the public and private sectors. In 12 years with the Ministry of Transportation, Ontario (MTO), Greg formulated and guided the application of traffic engineering-related legislation, policies, standards, and practices. He was directly involved with implementing aspects of the MTO’s active road safety management framework, including the application of human factors and positive guidance analysis to collision-prone locations. Since joining the private sector in 1999, Greg has led over fifty road safety audits (RSAs) and in-service operational/safety reviews (ISRs) of multi-modal transportation facilities, at stages from initial planning through facilities in-service, in both Canada and the United States. Greg was an author of the USDOT/FHWA’s Road Safety Audit Guide, and served as a peer-to-peer resource in leading first-in-jurisdiction RSAs and ISRs for State and local jurisdictions. He was also an author of an RSA Guide for the New York State Metropolitan Planning Associations (NYSMPOs), which focused on State and local multi-modal facilities, including pedestrian/cycling facilities, transit, and commuter rail. Greg has provided traffic management, logistics, and road safety advice on transportation and development plans, resource extraction feasibility studies, value engineering studies, environmental assessments, and functional/detailed design and construction/rehabilitation assignments. He is qualified to provide expert testimony in road safety matters at the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB).
