Greg has nearly 33 years of traffic operations engineering and road safety experience in both the public and private sectors. He specializes in identifying and mitigating sources of road use risk affecting vehicle occupants and vulnerable road users, both in design and in-service, and in developing and implementing multi-disciplinary safety plans at the strategic and tactical level. Greg holds a road safety audit (RSA) team leader certification from AustRoads, and is qualified to provide testimony on road safety matters at the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB).During his 20-year career in the private sector, Greg has provided traffic management, logistics, and road safety advice on transportation and development plans, resource extraction feasibility studies, value engineering studies, environmental assessments, and functional / detailed design and construction / rehabilitation assignments. He has a proven record of effectively managing project scope and schedule, controlling cost, and assuring deliverables of the highest quality.He has led over fifty RSAs and in-service operational / safety reviews (ISRs) of multi-modal transportation facilities, at stages from initial planning through facilities in-service, in both Canada and the United States. Many of these studies involved applied human factors and positive guidance techniques, to identify road user-related collision causal factors, and to implement innovative and low-cost / high-value information-based countermeasures. Greg lives in Port Colborne with his wife Janice, and their brood of rescued dogs and cats. When not working, Greg can usually be found engaged in home improvements or being walked by his dogs around H.H. Knoll Park and the Sugarloaf Marina.
