As a Scrum Master, I am a servant leader for the team and Product Owner. I guide the team to being better, by following the basic Agile principles and giving the the team the tools they need to self manage and improve. Not all teams need the same guidance, and getting to know the team, the product owner and looking objectively at how things are functioning are key in guiding the team through relentless improvement to be better every iteration. In my current role, I have helped the team implement an effective Kanban strategy to monitor WIP, reduced the daily stand up time to a manageable 15 minutes without sacrificing collaboration, and given the team tools to have a constantly measurable velocity for iteration planning.

Moved to GM and away from test and into development! A very exciting change that has provided new challenges and allowed me to grow my work experience.My primary function is to manage product backlog. Ensure that the Dev Team is working through the vertical slice and delivering usable software that adds value with every iteration. I work with customers to determine needs, management to determine minimum feature/functionality required for product delivery, and the dev team to ensure user stories are acceptable. I make sure the stories are prioritized to meet minimum functionality as quickly as possible.I enjoy the challenge of having to communicate with software developers as well as customers and management in a language that they can all understand, to ensure the team is providing value, that value is known, and at the end of the day the customer get a product they are happy with.There is nothing more rewarding to me then talk with the customer to understand their needs and wants, then working with the dev team to come up with the best solution for the customer.

After taking a step back and examining my resume, I felt I was lacking in experience. Having worked with the same company for my entire career after college I thought it was time to move on. I wanted to find a new position to get back to more engineering work.I am currently responsible for developing automated testing for Nuance VR software automotive applications. Scripts are developed in Python, and are used for Intergration/Smoke testing, a different more extensive suite for Requirements testing and a unique set for recognition testing.
