Greg is a corporate Partner and head of the Business Transactions practice group, which accounts for around a third of our UK business.He specialises in private equity, growth and venture transactions, acting for institutions, management teams and corporates. As practice group head, Greg oversees our Private Equity; FIG; M&A; Corporate Finance and Commercial departments, and sits on the Osborne Clarke Executive Board. Greg's clients include LDC, Snell, Clifford Thames, Countryside, Odeon and Precise Media Holdings Limited. Greg’s recent transactions include advising the management team of Odeon & UCI Cinemas Group on the proposed sale to AMC Theatres, advising on the sale of IDScan Biometrics Limited to GB Group Plc, advising management on the secondary buy-out of Leisure Pass Group to Exponent Private Equity; advising management on the MBO of Raymond Brown, backed by Elysian Capital; Millgate Developments Limited merger with Countryside, backed by US VC Oaktree Capital; the sale of Leasedrive to HgCapital and subsequent merger with Zenith; advising the shareholders of Precise Media Holdings Limited (including Phoenix Equity Partners), on the sale of a majority stake to WPP’s research arm Kantar, the management buy-out of automotive data business Clifford Thames; and the merger of Snell and Quantel.Greg is top ranked in Chambers and Legal 500 and is also a member of the British Venture Capital Association.

Greg’s clients include LDC, ECI, MML Capital Partners, Leasedrive Velo and Penn Pharmaceuticals. Deals that Greg has advised on include acting for LDC on the MBO of United House, acting for the selling shareholders on the sale of Apollo for £410m, acting for LDC on the £67m buy-out of Penn Pharmaceuticals and the acquisition of OneTel for Carphone Warehouse for £152m. In addition, Greg has advised management on the £80m MBO of Leasedrive Velo, the £72m merger of Snell and Pro-Bel, 3i, Baird, Credit Suisse and management on the sale of Vistorm to EDS and acted for MML (and separately RBS) on the £160m refinancing of BaxterStorey.Greg is top ranked in Chambers and Legal 500 and as Head of Markets, sits on the Executive Board at Osborne Clarke. Greg is also a member of the British Venture Capital Association.
