In November, 2014, I was invited by former U.S. District Court Judge Layn Phillips, one of the nation's preeminent ADR specialists, to join the Phillips ADR Services panel of neutrals, where today I serve as a mediator, arbitrator and special master. In January, 2012--after 30 years as a litigation partner at Latham & Watkins and almost five years as General Counsel of The Irvine Company--I launched a full-time practice as an alternative dispute resolution professional, with the goal of bringing my perspective as both an advocate and client to the resolution of complex business disputes.
