The Arkansas Research Center (ARC) is part of the College of Education (Office of the Dean) at the University of Central Arkansas (in Conway). Our primary mission is to analyze data from various State programs to help determine the effectiveness of the programs. We also work with agencies to develop software and systems to help collect data for analysis.

This company and position are a result of Hewlett Packard Enterprise "spinning off" the Enterprise Services Division, Merging it with CSC to create DXC Technology.My primary job duties remain the same; design, deploy and implement computer code to fulfill client contracts. I am responsible for converting claims for the health care industry. This involves nearly 75,000 lines of C code, along with a number of supporting routines written in Python that I use to test, monitor and install the code.

This company was split from HPE and merged with CSC to create DXC Technology on 4/1/2017.I am responsible for writing software to convert Health Care Claims from a legacy system to a server-based system for a large State project. Using existing HPE tools (in C) I implement the code to perform the conversion on a project with over 75 tables and 6,000 individual data fields. I have also written administrative tools using Python 2.x and 3.x to automate many of the "mundane" daily jobs I perform. I have been instrumental in applying version control on my team (Git) and have been asked to help develop division wide standards and training classes for all developers.

Design, test, implement and maintain software to process claims for the health care industry.

I work with a small team of talented developers to create applications to help implementt and maintain software for the health care industry. Although I am tagged as a "manager", I still spend the majority of my day designing, writing and testing code (primarily in Python).

Amateur ("HAM") Radio is more popular than ever. My primary insterest is using radio for community service events and emergency communication, although there are entire worlds of the hobby that I look forward to exploring.
