Musician
CurrentI have been a guitar and bass player since the 1960's and have been a member of several part-time musical projects over the years. I play and sing a few popular styles of music including rock 'n roll and pop, country and western, standards and jazz. I enjoy 5 piece combo work with drums, bass, keyboards and sax, but have also played events with smaller bands including solo work. I have played in the pit band for musical shows with actors. I can read music and write guitar arrangements. I have studied guitar at times with a few high profile instructors in the Philadelphia area. I continue to enjoy practicing guitar and playing out with others. I am gaining experience with a big band of 20 or so musicians playing standards and jazz charts. I find musician work fun, exciting and refreshingly different from other occupations. Playing has always been a welcome diversion from my primary vocation, and now playing music is my main activity.
