My professional career started when I enlisted in the U.S. Navy after completion of High School on July 15, 2008. My job title while Serving in the U.S. Navy was a Master at Arms. My first command was located at Naval Base Kitsap Bangor in Washington state. At this command, I was an Alarm Monitoring Sentry providing security for a large restricted area with the Marine Corps Security Force Battalion. My second and last command took me to Naval Base Guam where I would serve as a Naval Police Officer responding to calls ranging from murders to routine traffic stops. I was discharged from the U.S. Navy after my first enlistment and began to pursue my professional life. My first major career outside of the military was my employment with The American Legion as a Service Officer in May of 2013. While employed here, I would assist veterans with obtaining benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs to include Compensation, Pension, Death, Burial, Education, and healthcare benefits. I was incredibly passionate about this job because I was a veteran as well and could share a lot of the same struggle and triumphs that my clients have encountered. I was offered a new job with Alma Health Skilled Services as a Service Coordinator in May of 2017 in Erie, PA. At this place of employment, I assisted elderly and handicapped individuals on the Medicaid waiver program initiate and coordinate in home healthcare services. While employed at this company I transferred to the Pittsburgh office in January of 2018 and was quickly promoted to Regional Manager of Service Coordination meritoriously based off of my work performance and experience. After being laid off from Alma Health Skilled Services I found a new job as a Claims Verification Specialist at ConnectiveRX. At this place of employment, I verified health insurance benefits for patients that applied for a copay assistance program. After working at ConnectiveRx for four months, I was offered a job at EMSI. At EMSI, I began my career as an LDAR Technician and after 5 months was promoted to Site Supervisor due to my performance in the workplace. I am now employed at Wounded Warrior Project as a Senior National Service Officer, assisting post 9/11 veterans with obtaining VA and DOD benefits.
