Wrote and maintained Progress v8.3B character code on a Unix HP 9000 system. Worked in the EDI group. Duties included code modifications to implement new customers on EDI. Also wrote Unix script code to support the EDI processing.

Wrote and maintained Progress v8.2C character code. Worked on a project to convert single digit vendor codes to 6 digit vendor codes. Project included entire application with modifications to over 150 programs. Also performed Y2K analysis and remediation. Spent last month working with WebSpeed 3 in developing a shipping status web site.

Migrated Progress v7.3 character code from DOS to a Unix HP 9000 system. Worked in the EDI group. Duties included converting DOS to Unix code and testing routines. The EDI code was a custom code added onto Varnet (a manufacturing application).

Maintained Progress v8.2C database in a high availability (Qualix) environment on a Sun Solaris system. Duties included migrating and backing up data, tuning and monitoring databases, and applying software patches. Also installed and maintained a Progress Application Server. Wrote several monitoring and data collection programs in Progress, and wrote Unix shell scripts to automate most of the tasks. Application used was Unify (consumer loan origination package) run from a Novell Server.

Wrote and maintained Progress v8.1A GUI code on Windows 95 operating system. Worked on an in house package for tracking and analyzing merchandise sales and media time allocation. Worked with the User Interface Builder, SmartObjects and Report Builder. Dealt with performance issues due to database being located on a WAN. Also made some modifications to MFG/Pro v7.3k on a HP 9000.

Wrote and maintained Progress V6 character code on an internally developed package on a Unix operating system. Mainly wrote and modified reports, identified problems with historical data and corrected data and programs generating incorrect data, implemented new file structures and converted code to use the new files, installed a reservation package, solved user support issues and performed program testing. Also wrote and modified several C programs used for data conversion.

Wrote and maintained Progress v6 and v7 (4th generation database language) code on a Unix RS 6000 and Windows 95 operating systems. Main job was to do custom modification on Symix (a manufacturing package) written in Progress for outside companies. Most modifications were made to the inventory, order entry and job control modules. Duties encompassed the full range of software development including customer contact, code design and development, testing and documentation writing. Also wrote some C code for data conversion and Unix script programming.

Helped professor with grading tests and projects, teaching study groups, and helping students for a computer class. Worked on a Unix operating system.
