Thus far, I have taught various subjects in several classes: English, social studies and math to "life skills" students at the Pringle school; English, spelling, science, social studies and mathematics to "emotional support" children at Dallas Middle School; algebra to "partial" teenagers at Wyoming Valley West High School; social skills to hearing-impaired pre-schoolers at Dallas Elementary; and life skills to students at Dallas High School and Montgomery Ave. Elementary School. Having transferred from the Court of Common Pleas, I now work in the Career Development Services office at the PA Career Link, helping job seekers prepare resumes and search for employment by using the facility's computer lab.

As a participant in the Mature Workers' Program, I am receiving clerk training in both the prothonotary and criminal court offices at the Luzerne County Courthouse in Wilkes-Barre. I am becoming familiar with the various civil and criminal court documents through filing and scanning procedures.

I facilitated writing courses in the University's Associates' program, guiding students through the process of developing a research paper.

I facilitated communications, humanities, literature, and English composition courses for associate degree students for over eight years, performing the following duties: (1) led discussions of relevant questions; (2) answered questions students had about the course assignments; (3) graded student class participation and course assignments; and (4) provided substantive feedback to help students improve their performance. I taught English composition to first-year students during the Fall semester.

I taught two developmental English classes while earning my M.A. in English Literature at the University of Scranton. This work consisted in instructing the students in the basics of writing short essays. In addition, I corrected their papers and offered constructive criticism of their work (including grammar mechanics and content). I also was responsible to assign final grades at the course's conclusion.
