My work at both within the Nursing system and with the youth work has shown me that people can certainly 'put up with a lot'. I believe that everyone deserves a chance, sometimes, they just need the right person to believe in their cause before they get the strength to achieve what they want. My role within Gtec gives me the opportunity to help people with such barriers as homelessness, disabilities, drug and alcohol problems, mental health, abuse just to name a few. My role is to mentor our students, believe in them, and assist them to achieve something, no matter how small or big. The entire Gtec team have strong passions for youth work and each has a dynamic and interesting way to achieve the overall goal.
