I worked as a substance abuse counselor at Pathways, a 21 day residential treatment program that is a part of the Centra Heath System. The staff there is fantastic; they care about each individual who walks through the door and treat everyone with respect and dignity. In addition to individual and group counseling, we strove to engage families in the treatment process as much as possible.

I served as the program manager for an onsite day treatment program; we worked with students who required additional services than those provided by day treatment staff in their home school setting or students who were expelled from school for primarily behavioral issues. I oversaw a staff of around 10 individuals, including three masters level practitioners.
