About Greg Peet
I assume this is the box where I aggrandize any monotone skills by way of fancy synonyms or buzzwords recently vetted as hip by the Twittersphere and such. In lieu of the time, patience, and un-caffeinated attention span to update this section with each cycle, please accept the following:I am a software developer, with experience in C, C++, Objective-C, and most things C-ish. Swift is also included, but throws off the whole “C” sequence above :/. My focus has been iOS development for quite some time.I started writing code around age 9/10. Engineering (anything and everything) has always been a hobby. As I also have experience in authoring and editing, I found programming to be a natural amalgamation of those two domains. I also have experience managing developers. I am adept at understanding engineers (their needs and capabilities), maintaining morale, keeping company tasks on track, and liaising/relations with industry clients/partners.Fun facts:I enjoy tinkering and can fix most things, from mechanisms to circuits, even if I sometimes over-engineer them. I’m also a musician and play the guitar, bass, keys, flutes, ukulele, world percussion, and a few others. I’ve created some analog guitar pedals, as well. However, I cannot do something as simple as read sheet music or explain most chords. Also, I absolutely suck at playing the drums. Disappointing facts:I am definitely not a good singer, but I sometimes sing Creedence or Dylan songs while writing code if no one is around.
Listed skills include Web Applications, Web Development, Programming, Objective C, and 44 others.

Principal Software Engineer | Team Lead
Confirm.io acquired by Facebook (https://techcrunch.com/2018/01/23/facebook-confirm-io/)- Joined as a contractor to fix issues present in existing, unsatisfactory products developed by an outside consulting firm. Took the same time estimation and completely rewrote the products from the ground-up for complete modularity, company control, security, and modernization of code. This later formed the foundation for many of our products. - Hired full-time as both Principal Engineer (iOS) and Team Lead (for iOS, Android, and QA teams).- Managed our mobile products (including SDKs, documentation, apps, and releases). - Technical liaison with engineers from potential partners (including Apple and Samsung). This significant undertaking was completed in a few months and involved custom network handling, event management systems, security, and hardware balancing.- Co-author of domestic and international patents related to user manipulation of message-based objects on devices.Technologies: Objective-C, Custom UX & Gesture System, REST, JSON, IMAP, MailCore, Video & Image Processing & Subsampling, Custom Threading, Queue management.
Developer - Ios
Began working with iOS (iPhoneOS) right before iOS 4.0 was released. Actually, started with Android (Eclipse/Java) and moved to Apple after deciding to move to the Apple ecosystem (and preferring the C-centric stack to Java). During this period, I worked on various small iOS projects, mainly as a contract problem-solver.Once iOS-specific roles opened, I ceded part-time freelance work for full-time positions.
Software Developer
I began writing code when I was quite young. I had the opportunity to be awarded fantastic mentoring during my early learning phase by industry experts, work alongside them, and launch into the field with significant knowledge. I have co-authored some open-source libraries, authored and co-authored technical articles for periodicals, provided technical consulting for printed texts by Addison-Wesley, worked and contributed to beta languages, and taught college programming courses. I worked freelance and developed for various projects (primarily C/C++, and, later, iOS/Objective-C).
