Program Manager, Fisheries Information Section. Responsibilities have varied over time and include:-Oversight of collection, processing, quality and delivery of commercial fishery data and permitting activities in the Northeast Region. Combined programs employ more than 50 people, including contractors, in 12 field offices and one central office, with an annual budget of greater than $2,500,000;- Development of policy guidelines and review of fishery management documents;- Representation of program in written materials and public presentations;- Development and maintenance of partnerships with fishery management councils’ members and staff, other NMFS offices, state agencies, and scientific groups;- Participation, sometimes as chair in various working groups;- Oversight of program outreach efforts with industry;- Membership in interdisciplinary teams tasked with development and implementation of systems for fishery information

- Developed and implemented new information collections and monitoring processes for sector fisheries under Amendment 16 to the Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan.- Worked with sector proponents and managers to develop requirements for information collection and reporting- Coordinated division staff to develop programs and processes necessary for sector implementation.- Developed policies for sector management by industry.- Represented division on various teams developing sector requirements.- Developed, organized and/or participated in workshops with fishing industry for the purpose of creating/updating fisheries management and information distribution processes and guidelines.

Managed fishery data collection and permitting program consisting of up to 50 staff distributed in 13 field offices and staff located in regional headquarters. Responsible for management and oversight of all programs and projects including implementing of technology.
