Translated customer needs to design criteria by developing electrical specifications for printed circuit boards. Maintained communication between the designer and the customer as the technical liaison and project lead. Developed test and analysis procedures for various research and development projects while working closely with mechanical and electrical designers. Evaluated electrical designs and suggested revisions based on research projects and analysis results.  Designed a PCB board combination with a Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) interface. Result an increase in bandwidth (from hundreds of MHZ to GHZ) and frequency demands. PTFE allowed a better propagation of microwave signals.

Aided in the development of the new computer and sonar system. Developed and honed research skills while implementing that system. Coordinated the off-site developers, contractors and associates while visiting on-going projects in North America. Responsible for improving safety conditions by bringing unsafe conditions to the attention of supervisors.  Resolved a grounding problem with the monitoring units resulting in less time the implementation teams were in the field and increased the amount of usable data.

Followed product wafers from mask design through initial oxidation, photolithography, etch and metal-deposition. Used troubleshooting skills to maintain, repair and rebuild production equipment. Developed and expanded my knowledge of wafer production and equipment rebuilds while following projects to their completion by identifying and working to resolve problems.  Rebuilt faulty furnace control panels from decommissioned furnace parts realizing a cost savings of $5K per panel.
