East Side secured a grant of $1.465 million from the U.S. Department of Education to extend its youth after school programs to three additional schools. Also expanding is the foodshelf program and the employment for seniors program. Revenues have moved from $4.3 million in 2012 to $7.2 million for 2017. This was accomplished while maintaining a series of balanced operating budgets and without any withdrawals from cash reserves. East Side's service area has increased from the East Side of Minneapolis to include all of Hennepin County. In 2015 we finished the 100th Anniversary Year. During that year, friends donated $235,000 beyond their annual giving for future needs.

Brought on full time at the request of the client to lead the advancement team to balance the FY 2005 budget. This was achieved, with over $2 million raised. By January, 2006, in addition to funds for operating needs, $525,000 was raised in capital funds for a new facility in the Plymouth-Wayzata area.

Responsible for development counsel to six clients with campaigns totaling $100 million: The ALS Association (Lou Gehrig's Disease) headquartered in Los Angeles; Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis; Happy Hill Farm Academy and Childrens' Home near Fort Worth, TX; Kent State University in Kent, OH; Memorial Blood Centers of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN; The Saint Paul Foundation in MN.

Guided the field force of 36 development officers, each working within a geographical territory. The work extended from coast to coast, and included Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Alaska. With assets of $1.6 billion, this was the 15th. largest foundation in the nation. Led the development program to achieve its largest year in history, $143 million raised in 12 months.

Responsible as chief advancement officer (development, public relations, alumni relations) for this college of 3,000 students. Led the Augsburg College Advancement Program to receive national CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) awards for Overall Fundraising Performance and Overall Fundraising Improvement in August, 1994. Seven of the 945 eligible colleges and universities in North America received both awards. Augsburg and Carleton College in Northfield, MN, were the only midwest colleges to receive both awards. Assisted the President and Board of Regents in November, 1993, to revise the capital campaign goal from $25 million to $63 million and to revise its completion date from 2000 to 1998. The campaign was successfully concluded within the shortened time frame. Augsburg's previous capital campaign had raised $4.8 million.
