Greg also actively took part in competitve bidding to win work for the team. Through his employment at KBR, Greg was also exposed to a number of technical areas outside of his main focus including stakeholder engagement, ecology, flooding, civil design, and coastal processes.

Graduate Environmental EngineerCompass Environmental is a boutique contaminated land consultancy based in Melbourne who deliver phase 1 and phase 2 contaminated land assessments, and carry out remediation works throughout Victoria and interstate.While at Compass Environmental Greg gained invaluable experience in soil and groundwater investigations and remediation. The role was predominantly field based and included soil sampling, validation sampling, soil vapour sampling, groundwater monitoring well installation and development, and groundwater and surface water sampling. Greg also learnt about other activities vital to the success of field programs including equipment procurement; project health and safety; analytical techniques; field and laboratory QA/QC procedures and database management. Greg also developed experience in site assessment including undertaking historical searches and desktop reviews, report preparation and production and conceptual site model preparation.
