One of the earliest members of the team that brought fluid dynamic bearings for hard disk drives to almost every PC on the planet. Validated materials, processes, and lubricants still in common use in spindle motors. Set up in-house analytical services group.

Worked in Storage Technology Group under Mathew Mate on atomic force microscopic techniques. Co-developed vapor lube deposition and force-distance tribology measurements.
