As the Strategy Officer at Heartland Family Service I facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of the agency’s strategic plan along with input from the Strategic Planning Task Force of the Board, CEO John Jeanetta, and the rest of the Leadership Team. I also provide leadership for the agency’s Quality Improvement, Technology, and Evaluation & Analytics teams.

Provided leadership for quality improvement processes, monitoring, and reporting across the organization's 40 programs, including managing the various quality improvement teams. Transformed the quality improvement data reporting system to improve data entry and enhance analysis through interactive reports and data visualizations. Facilitated the Service Delivery and Contract Compliance Committee and served as the organization's HIPAA Privacy Officer.

Provided administrative leadership during a challenging statewide renovation to the evaluation process. Provided leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of behavioral health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and mental health and chemical dependency therapists, transcriptionists, and three full time support and case management staff. Led the program from less than 10% on-time completion of evaluations at the beginning of 2005 to greater than 90% by the end of 2005. Outstanding Team Performance recognition in 2006.Led development of the Home Based Family Services program at Heartland Family Service in 2008. The program was a collaborative venture with Boys Town to implement components of the In Home and Safety Services contract administered by the State of Nebraska, Division of Children and Family Services.

Collaborated on a multidisciplinary team of professionals to provide over 160 comprehensive mental health evaluations for youth in the juvenile justice system. Evaluations focused on assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and case management. Developed a parenting support group for parents of adolescents with behavioral and emotional problems. Provided individual therapy for youth in the juvenile justice system. Provided EAP therapy services.

Provided leadership and guidance to each of the federally funded TRIO programs in conducting assessment and evaluation based on the CAS Standards. Consulted with programs on developing or enhancing individualized program evaluation procedures.

Co-leader of the Research and Evaluation Team for the Healthy Youth Places Project, a multiyear, multimillion dollar research project funded by the National Institutes of Health to promote physical activity and healthy eating in middle school students. Assisted in the development of assessment tools and the management of data collection and analysis across 16 middle schools in Kansas.

Course scheduling and academic advising for undergraduate Kinesiology students. Conducted new-student orientation and academic advising meetings for new and prospective students. Taught introductory Kinesiology courses to undergraduate students.
