CurrentCarry out research projects in the fields of lipids, natural health products, and functional foods, with a specific focus on emulsion delivery system Prepare experimental plans and present progress reports back to the team. Source and evaluate new ingredients and ensure all technical, quality and regulatory requirements are met As required, complete analytical testing on stability samples, finished product, following appropriate methods and systems in adherence with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices. Retain accurate records of all experiments and lab work Prepare lab scale research samples Prepare pilot scale research batches Participate in sensory analysis or R&D samples and participate in sensory panels as required Train other R&D team members to perform analytical methods as needed Operate basic analytical instruments as required, which may include centrifuge, microscope, pH meter, analytical balances, etc. Maintenance of the Pilot Lab, including supply inventory, organization and cleaning. Other general lab work as needed. Update SOP’s, MSDS sheets, raw material storage documents, etc. as assigned. Prepare internal and external scientific reports as directed and required. Actively participate in weekly team meetings and in other meetings as applicable. Source and evaluate new ingredients and ensure all technical, quality and regulatory requirements are met Develop new product specifications (NPS) including technical specifications, stability data, nutritional data, directions of use and relevant quality and regulatory documentation Adhere to and enforce all company health and safety requirements. Work in collaboration with and provide technical support to other departments within Nature’s Way including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory and Quality.
