Co-ordinated collections from Vendors to TKMaxx and assisting with any distribution-based problems and issues. Provided a high level of service to ensure a strong buyer-vendor relationship was maintained.

Providing a high standard of customer service over the phone to TKMaxx and HomeSense customers that had issues with their online orders. Assisting and mediating irate and difficult customers regularly. Running the social media help account regularly on Facebook and Twitter.

Daily tasks consisted of booking laboratory space and equipment, maintaining the laboratories to a professional standard and providing support for both students and academic staff. The hands-on nature of the job required an in depth understanding of scientific principles and equipment functionality. Being able to solve problems and show versatility was essential.

Promoted ‘Accenture’ via tactical product placement at Brunel University. This was achieved through having an enthusiastic aptitude to clearly communicate with a diverse target audience. Promoted ‘RateMyPlacement’; a website that liaises and advertises undergraduate internships and placements. This role required a high work ethic to repeatedly engage and sign students up.

This role required skills such as confidence, good interpersonal skills, clear communication and motivation. I promoted RateMyPlacement to undergraduate students in order to get them to sign up to the website. This was a great insight into marketing strategies especially when you are competing against other companies that where also present at the Careers Fair Road show, hosted by Brunel University.

I worked at John Lewis as a member of the Stock Management team. I had numerous responsibilities, including receiving deliveries, replenishment of stock and maintenance of storage space. These tasks were undertaken within the store through following specific protocols, such as the ‘click and collect’ system. These main tasks were completed daily and required a strong work ethic and successful time management. In addition I was responsible for helping to maintain safety and security standards across the store (dealing with breakages/wastage, ensuring areas of the branch were tidy and easily accessible to partners/customers). I was also responsible for supporting customers in need of assistance regarding stock/branch information or sales advice. I was trained to use the system mainframe of the branch concerning selling stock and accessing stock information. This underpinned shop floor activity and helped respond to customer queries. I was the main point of contact to deal with requests by other branches or staff concerning specific customer orders.

I took part in a voluntary three day placement assisting coaches and sports scientists with a talent identification programme (Target Tokyo 2020) to identify potential GB shooting athletes for Tokyo 2020 at Bisley shooting ground. I helped deliver the talent identification programme with the EIS (English Institute of Sport). I volunteered for phase two which would narrow the group down to only 6 athletes from 70. The disciplines that were being assessed were prone rifle, standing rifle and 10m pistol. I was responsible for ensuring the well-being of my assigned groups, co-ordinating them around the facility to their different shooting assessment tasks on time and evaluating their physical and psychological condition. The Target Tokyo 2020 programme allowed me to gain insight into the delivery of talent identification programmes along with the structure and planning process devised by the EIS. I was able to gain experience delivering scientific tests to determine physiological capability relevant to the performance of shooting.
