About Greg Solberg
Starting with manual lathes and mills in 1976, I progressed to the CNC world in 1992. As I learned the code and became familiar with it, I started writing code by hand, often a copy, paste, edit routine. Along with that, I developed some spread sheets to help with some of the more involved calculations. Then came training in CAM programming in 2003. As satisfying as that was, I continued with a progression toward engineering. 2003-2004 brought mechanical drawing and AutoCAD training. Since then, designing and building special tooling or fixtures, and using CAD to work out complex part geometry has moved me a little closer to an official engineering position.I am not currently looking for other opportunities.
