Currently working on the Systems Commissioning Team for ESPJV as part of the Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) 2.1 billion dollar Red and Purple Line Modernization (RPM) Project. My role on the project team is overseeing Signal/Systems testing and ensuring the contractor performs it in a safe and compliant manner.

Oversaw the maintenance of a 600k sqft distribution center.Worked with a small team of maintenance technicians to ensure industrial equipment was working correctly and safely.Coordinated with numerous contractors on a regular basis to ensure corporate compliance and building upkeep.

Directed the operations and maintenance of railroad communications, wayside signaling, grade crossing, and process control systems for 350 miles of territory across Illinois and Indiana.Managed a budget of $15M in annual expenses and a staff of 75 plus employees.Conducted projects, handled in service testing, and directed the installation of new equipment and systems.Automated an existing system resulting in $3M annual savings across the system.Investigated derailments, failures of vital systems, employee injuries and company vehicle accidents.Directed cleanup, repairs, and testing to return equipment to service after interruptions.

Managed the operations and maintenance of railroad communications and signal systems on the Chicago District, which has the highest volume of traffic.Led a team of 13 union employees and developed a new process which reduced overtime by 50%.Led and trained employees on troubleshooting techniques for wayside crossing equipment, railroad signaling systems, wayside detectors, and communication systems.Selected to conduct training for new hires on operational systems.

Supervised the operations and maintenance of railroad communications, wayside signaling, and grade crossings on the Lafayette and Frankfort districts of the Illinois Division.Organized and developed daily job duties for each employee to meet company policies and regulations.Ensured maintenance and testing of equipment was in compliance with company and federal rules, regulations, and standards.Coordinated and collaborated with other departments to schedule work with the goal of minimizing train delays and maximizing efficiency, resulting in a 20% reduction in work load.Developed a manual to aid employees in performing diagnostics on different pieces of equipment.Provided safety and technical training monthly resulting in zero injuries over a 5 year period.
