Worked for County government developing web sites allowing users to view and pay taxes for their properties, worked for the Pharmaceutical industry developing in-house apps for HR and production management, Worked for Telecom writing and maintaining billing systems, Worked for number of small companies in SC writing quick custom web applications.

US - Motorola Inc acquired Printrak International Inc, a manufacturer for fingerprint identification systems and Information Systems.After Printrak bought out TFP, I continued as a Project Manager for Jail Systems / AFIS and worked with 911 country wide systems integration. The technical Sales aspect of the job was a lot of fun meeting government officials down to the local sheriffs, and helping to close multi-million dollar deals. Unfortunately I did not get commission on those... Oh well.... Wearying of constant travelling, I decided to change my job focus.

The company’s mug shot capture/display systems are used for personal identification, as well as for creating digital line-ups for viewing by crime scene witnesses. Its PC-based applications also include jail management, jail property management, and document management. The company was founded in 1988 and is based in Greenville, South Carolina. As of May 7, 1997, TFP Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Printrak International Inc.I had the privilege of working with Brad Bylenga (VP of TFP at this time) in some past jobs, and he arranged an interview with their president. After failing the psychological profiling testing, I was nervous, he hired me to work Helpdesk for the Mugshot Photo Systems. A lot of fun talking to poilice officers and booking sargents at 3 in the morning. Eventually I was moved into Project Manager for a new product Jail Management System (JMS). Getting to travel all over the country to install and train and provide technical sales for the JMS systems was a blast. Worked with a great team of motivated support people and developers which encouraged me to want to learn more about programming.

One of the original printer repair companies in SC, they were growing the business to provide computer repair and networking support. So I joined as a computer repair technician and on-site networking support person. We repaired mostly Packard / IBM computers at the time and setup and maintained Novell, Lantastic, Windows, etc Networks. I eventually was moved to a new Greenville branch to help grow the clientele for the area.
