Assisted in site preparation and set up of an Agilent 7500ce Collision Cell ICP-MS.Determined concentrations of up to 65 elements in a wide range of samples.Logged in samples, optimized collision cell gas flows, performed each day of use instrument tuning, reported concentrations.Prepared work orders for personnel in Dean's office so that they could invoice our customers (both on and off campus) for my ICP-MS analytical services.Ran 130 samples quantitatively for 28 elements over a single 36 hour interval of time with no operator intervention. Test solutions included an ICV, ICB, the initial CCV and CCB, and the 130 samples run six in-a-packet with 22 batches of QC (sample, duplicate sample, spike, spike duplicate, and serial dilution); one QC batch per packet. Each was followed by a CCV and CCB. All QC was acceptable to the client.

Ran water and sediment samples from EPA Superfund Sites in Region VIII.Performed many concentration determinations for metals by ICP MS [Perkin Elmer (PE) 6000] and ICP AES (PE Optima). Performed Hg concentration determinations by Cold Vapor (PE FIMS 100)Determined Dissolved Organic Carbon concentrations using the Teledyne Phoenix 8000 on water samples from these sites.

Developed successful chemical analytical procedures for the analysis of value-added products positioned to provide solutions and meet requirements of specific target markets in the Semiconductor industry. Operated and maintained a FISONS Axiom high resolution ICP MS, a VG Elemental PQI (Quadrupole) ICP MS, a Leeman Labs ICP AES, an Hitachi flame atomic emission spectrophotometer and Hitachi GFAA spectrophotometer. Also trained chemists to operate/maintain this instrumentation.Routinely sampled and analyzed production lots of WF6(l) for trace metal content.Developed sampling techniques and analysis methods for trace element content in several high profile value-added gas products: CO, HBr, HCl and NH3.
