I was once advised to remove all of the non-professional experience from my resume. You know...the restaurants, the retail. Absolutely not. If you want a traditional candidate who thinks and is driven by the same goals as everyone else then please stop reading and click over to the next profile. I am not your man. I am, however, broadly understanding of a great range of experiences. I believe the lessons I learned from those former lives have given me a unique edge in managing the often volatile expectations of my clients. The greatest compliment I've ever received was that I couldn't possibly think outside of the box because I had never been in a box to begin with. To that end, I am constantly a student, both of humanity and technology. I believe the two are deeply connected and intertwined, that one will always drive the other. I am holistic in my approach, as no person or system operates in a vacuum. Rather, they dance together, often beautifully, but every once in a while someone's toes get stepped on and that's okay. I do not fear mistakes, not the first ones at any rate. I have found that the value of getting it right the second time is resilience and flexibility, not to mention the discoveries one can make through trial and error. No one was looking for the New World in 1492. I am compassionate and empathetic, knowing, at the end of the day, that it is human beings we are serving and they deserve the best we can give them within the circumstances and constraints of the situation. Humanity has been incredibly successful at exceeding its limitations and I am a firm believer that necessity is the mother of invention.
